Dr. Denise Boston is the Dean of Diversity and Inclusion and professor of psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco, California. Much of her work has been conducted collaboratively with community organizations and is aimed at promoting positive youth development by increasing cultural values and preventing risky behaviors. This has included work on racial trauma and culturally specific interventions. Dr. Boston has consulted extensively in the area of diversity leadership and culturally responsive healthcare and is an invited speaker nationally and internationally on these topics. Dr. Boston received her Ph.D. from Walden University, her MA from Goddard College, and BFA from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts.
