Ethan Cicero, PhD, RN

Ethan Cicero is a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Future of Nursing Scholar as well as a Postdoctoral Scholar Fellow in the Biobehavioral Research Training in Symptom Science program within the Department of Community Health Systems at the University of California, San Francisco School of Nursing. His scholarly work, supported by the National Institutes of Health, the National Institute, Nursing Research, and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, focuses on the health and well being of transgender and gender nonbinary communities, with a particular interest in methods used for transgender health research and the use of large data sets and data from electronic health records to address health disparities. Dr. Cicero has a PhD from Duke University and a BS in Nursing from University of North Carolina.
