Kay Burke is UCSF Health’s first Chief Nursing Informatics Officer. A proven leader with nineteen years of nursing experience, Kay has navigated a progressive path in nursing leadership, informatics, analytics, and solutions delivery in healthcare settings. Having led informatics teams at multiple Magnet-accredited organizations, she consistently places primary focus on nursing practice and administration. Originally from Philadelphia, she recently moved to SF from Charleston, SC, where she served as CNIO and Chief Analytics Officer at MUSC Health. She has led a multitude of implementations, from enterprise-wide ‘big bangs’ to single-module installs, and currently has oversight of all nursing informatics activities across the health system.
