Sean Lau is a vascular access specialist in a teaching hospital in Northern California, where he has participated in clinical management and administrative coordination for the Vascular Access Services Team, infusion clinic and two medical-surgical units. Sean has provided education for vascular access evidence-based practice to hospitals at a regional, national and global level. Both Sean’s clinical background and recent experiences have focused on vascular access, with experience in patient care, clinical process improvement and policy change and implementation. Sean has bachelor’s degrees in nursing and physiology, is vascular access board certified, and has a Master’s degree in Business Administration. He is the President elect at BAVAN, Bay Area Vascular Access Network, and has chaired his hospital’s Vascular Access Device Committee for over 3 years.
